Blog Post #9

The Flipped Classroom is a way of teaching/organizing the learning environment by requiring that the students do all of their reading online/at home. Then when they come to class, they would do all assignments, labs, etc. If the student does not do the required reading for the upcoming class at home then it is on them.

Open Education, Open Content, Open Source:

All things open allow various people to use these resources free of charge and make life easier. Open education allows a student, who cannot be in a classroom, to gain the same education as any other student on their free time. Considering that open education is free, the student will not have the ability to contact/report to an instructor. Open content allows individuals to access helpful material online for free. For example, an instructor can access a free template for a syllabus or monthly announcement that someone posted.

I enjoyed working on both Powerpoint assignments. I love how you can be very creative with the software and the new design layouts are so pretty. For the first Powerpoint assignment, the Information Dissemination, I used the knowledge I already knew to complete the assignment. However, making the Interaction assignment was very different. I did not know that you could add buttons to the slides to allow them to switch to another. I had fun creating the small trivia game but it was a pain in the butt to go back add buttons to all the slides.
