Society is quickly advancing. We, human beings, must keep up with the newest technology unless we want to be left behind. I grew up in front of a television screen, whether it was watching Spongebob or playing video games. My parents spoiled me and always bought me the newest gaming consoles, I was kept up to date. My experiences with technology have always been pleasant. In 2015, I became certified in Microsoft. A year later I gained my certification in Adobe Photoshop CC and worked on an extensive portfolio for art school (which I never pursued).

For four years I tutored children in kindergarten through second grade for an afterschool program. These children became the highlight of my high school years. I loved hearing the school bell ring at 2:05 every day and walking 20 minutes to my assigned elementary school. Although, it was the same schedule every day the children always surprised me with something new. Children are baby sprouts that need love and attention to help them fully bloom. My experience has a tutor has influenced me to change my major to Elementary Education. I hope that taking this class will provide me with the necessary skills and knowledge to become an amazing teacher in the future.

Four words I absolutely hate saying are: I AM AN INTROVERT. I keep to myself and cannot work in groups. I do not hate groups, it's just that I can never speak up no matter how badly I want to. Both pictures and verbal explanations help me absorb information, I love puzzles but I also enjoy following steps, and I favor hardcore facts but also take pleasure in the possibilities. But the learning style survey pointed out that I'm more of a reflective learner than I am an active learner. This is surprising because I do believe hands on projects/activities help retain the information more.
